Tom Balding Ballhinge D-Ring Slick 50 with Hand Engraved ConchosThis beautifully crafted snaffle bit features a Stainless Ballhinge D-Ring© with dots and Hand Engraved Conchos. The mouthpiece is our Tom Balding Slick 50© made of sweet iron and copper. The mouthpiece is 5 1/8" and the ring diameter is 5/16".
The Slick 50 mouthpiece has an incredible design. The hinged port gives you independent lateral control, but still breaks in the middle like a snaffle. You can bend the horse in the ribs while keeping the correct head and shoulder position. This makes it a great transition bit for young horses from the snaffle, or a good everyday rider for a soft mouthed horse.
