Spicer Gripp Memorial Roping in Hereford, TX July 30th-August 3rd

It's the Spicer Gripp Memorial Roping's 20th Anniversary! This event is in honor of long time friend, Spicer Gripp. The residents of Hereford, Texas founded this annual roping in 1994. Following it's foundation came the creation of the Spicer Gripp Memorial Event Center in 2001. This event has grown to be in the heart of it's competitors and fans with roping events ranging from Senior Steer Roping to Kid's Dummy Roping. The event will begin today with a kick off & reception by Cargill Meat Solutions Gripp Foundation at 6:30 p.m. We are proud to be the sponsor of Coolhorse All Girl Team Roping which will be held Friday, August 1st at 1 p.m. So be sure to go see some talented women rope horns and stretch a steer. There will be a dance with live music by Jake Hooker & The Outsiders, Saturday at 9 p.m. and to start Sunday off, Cowboy Church will begin at 9 a.m. But that isn't the end of the fun, there will be a match roping against NFR tie-down qualifiers, Shane Hanchey vs Justin Maass.
