About St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital
The title on the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital website does a great job of summing up all they do in four little words. What it doesn’t tell you is that they do it at no cost to the families. Unlike most hospitals, St Jude’s is funded almost entirely by donations. The Cure Team Ropes help them help families.

How the Cure Rope Came To Be
Coy Upchurch, General Manager of Fast Back Ropes, shared a little of the background of the new team rope, The Cure, and what I learned. makes me even more proud that Coolhorse supports the Fast Back Ropes family in this endeavor.
Fast Back as a company was already supporting St Jude’s, and many within the Fast Back family of employees were also donating on an individual basis. Knowing that so many were believers in the St. Jude’s mission, throwing in the support of a new product was an amazing opportunity to take it a step further. The regular Fast Back donations going to Memphis are sure to grow and help even more children as this new rope - with new features - makes its way to the arena.
About the Rope
Available in both 31’ head and 35’ heel ropes, The Cure is the result of many hands throwing loops and turning steers. From the Fast Back pros to the weekend warriors, ropers of every experience level got to give it a whirl. Both smaller and larger diameters were tested, but this small diameter was the easy favorite. The purple dye used in the poly core increases the weight in this rope and gives it an amazing tip feel and control - without increasing the diameter. The tendency of a smaller rope to break down faster was combated by using a special bright yellow treatment in the tough, outer nylon strands. Aside from a high visibility, the yellow dye used gives the rope more durability, and the combination of yellow strands around a purple core results in a really cool chartreuse color. You will be able to see your rope better in low light conditions.
