Life today is not the same as it use to be, people can not leave their doors open for the neighbors to run in and borrow a cup of sugar.  In fact, it seems we no longer feel comfortable about any uninvited visitor showing up at our farms or barns.  Everything appears to be a risk giving rise to the feeling that we must, more than ever, protect our surroundings.  The challenge is on how to keep horses and belongings in, and unwanted people out.

Time, light, noise, and visible ID are major deterrents to a thief, so when discussing security options keep these factors in mind.

Have a ball horse training...with a ball! PDF Print

I know you've seen the giant balls sold for horse training.  (If you haven't, think exercise balls on steroids)  But have you seen reports of the many benefits of using them to train your horse?  If not, read this great article on Horse & Rider's web page where trainer Tommy Garland describes the transformation that a ball worked on Reserve National Champion mare Jewelliette.  Tommy takes you through the steps that help Jewelliette move from fractious to fabulous.
