Local Friend and Customer Wins AQHA Race

MadMax, owned by Wade Helton, long time friend and customer of Coolhorse and Madilyn Watts, trainer, won the first race of the $700,000 Ruidoso Futurity(G1) Trials on May 22. This race is special to us here at Coolhorse as Wade has been a loyal, gracious customer for many years. Madmax was brought to Madilyn by Wade at a very young age. She bottle fed him and made the bond of not only trainer, but as friend too. I had the privilege of seeing Madmax as a baby as Madilyn and I are very close friends and I can tell you that he is a beast of a horse! Madmax is the first celebrated and official win for Madilyn since she recieved her Trainer's License in November of 2013. The top five qualifiers from May 22nd combined the top five on May 23rd, will complete the field of tough competition for the $700,000 Grade 1 event to be hosted June 8th in Ruidoso, NM.
