Here at Coolhorse we have two kinds of used saddles in our inventory.  Some of our used saddles have come to us through trades and the remaining are consignment saddles.  We do not buy used saddles outright. 

If you have a saddle that you would like to trade with us, we have to have your saddle here at our location before giving you any type of dollar amount on what your saddle is worth. The shipping costs will be up to you when sending your saddle to our store.  Please contact us before sending your saddle to make sure that it is something we will be able to trade for or sell and to get the appropriate paperwork to send in with your saddle.  Our trade in saddle values vary based on many factors (brand, quality, condition, etc) and is dependent on what we feel we can sell the saddle for here at one of our stores.  This may vary considerably from your location.

If you are interested in placing a saddle on consignment with us, the saddle has to remain in our store for a minimum of 30 days. When you put your saddle on consignment we will keep the saddle clean and will take multiple pictures of your saddle for it to be viewed on our website.  If your saddle has not sold or generated any interest within 60 to 90 days from the time that we have taken it in, we may contact you and ask you to either lower your price, or have it shipped back to you.  You would be responsible for the shipping costs.  If your saddle does not sell, there is no charge to you other than the shipping costs.  We have a lot of demand for used saddles that we can't always keep up with on our trade-ins, so we do sell a lot of consignment saddles.  We would be delighted for your saddle to be one of them!  Give us a call or drop us an email for more information about trade ins or on our consignment saddles.
