Platinum Swing out blanket bars (all aluminum) are an option that can be added at the time of custom ordering a trailer or can be added "after market" on most aluminum trailers. These are constructed of aluminum and are normally welded on to the trailer. Common places include tack doors, dressing room doors, and dressing room walls. The most popular sizes are 36" long 3 bar racks or 4 bar racks. 5 and 6 bar racks can be custom ordered as well.
This is a great way to utilize space and stay organized in saddle compartments and tack rooms. It also allows your pads to breathe on both top and bottom to dry out quicker than when they are stacked directly on each other or on your saddles. These can be installed in our shop or purchased online for $199 (3 bar) or $265 (4 bar) (does not include installation).
When adding the swing out blanket bars to rear tack doors, be sure you have ample space between your door and saddle racks. Three or four bulky pads on your rack combined with larger types of saddles (16” team ropers, ranch saddles, cutting saddles, etc..) can sometimes make your rear tack door difficult to shut.

Available in 28" or 36" lengths and can be installed in our shop or purchased online for $57.00 ea (does not include installation). |

Trails West Blanket Bars (steel)
Trails West has the science of storage efficiency down. User friendly and optimum storage space is critical in their dressing rooms, side tacks, and rear tacks and the Trails West swing out blanket bars are a large reason for this. With the help of gas powered shocks, it locks itself into place, either against the wall or approximately 18" away from the wall when placing blankets on it. This feature is normally located in fixed rear tacks, side tacks, and dressing rooms. Sorry, the 8 finger swing out blanket bar option is not available in collapsible rear tacks, however, the hanging blanket bars (as show in picture below-right) is standard.
