Absolutely, we would love to visit with you about trading in your saddle on one of ours!!!
But a fair warning; we've been told that we are a "little picky" on saddles that we take on trade. We prefer popular name brands and we like the "uppper end" saddle makers that we are familiar with. We also take pride in stocking used saddles in very good condition, thus we aren't normally interested in saddles that have broken trees, cracked leather, or need significant repair.
What's your saddle worth? This is not an exact science. Since there is no Blue Book for Saddles, we have to solely rely on our past experience of selling saddles (since 1999) and a simple "gut" feeling. Here is the place for another warning. Since we don't inflate the prices of our saddles to compensate for trade ins, we just can't allow a full retail price for your saddle. We determine what we feel we can sell your trade in for and then deduct 20-30% for your allowance. For example, if we think your saddle sells for $675, we would probably offer you around $475-510.
If you have a saddle that you would be interested in trading, email us 5-8 pictures and as much information as possible such as seat size, maker, age of saddle, & condition. We can then give you an estimate of value and if we would would be interested in trading for it. We can not 100% guarantee any trade in prices until we have the saddle at our location to inspect it in person, much like our 100% Saddle Satisfaction Gaurantee is when we sell one. Again, we do not accept saddles with broken trees or other extreme damage. Thanks for the opportunity at your saddle business!
