The Discovery Channel stopped in Sheridan, Wyoming to film Tom Balding Bits & Spurs to feature them on an upcoming episode of "How It's Made". The show has more than 130 million viewers in over 200 countries and will show people how real cowboy gear is made.

 We’re veterinarians, we’re horse owners, we’re competitors and we’re horse lovers. We’re the Merial team behind the Outbreak Alert program.
Just like you, we find it frustrating to sift through so much misinformation and noise to find equine disease information that’s current, reliable and relevant. But what really troubles us is the number of horses that get sick or even die, year after year, from diseases that may have been avoided with proper vaccination and better access to risk information. This isn’t a situation our community should accept. And the Outbreak Alert program has a few simple goals to help us change it: |

 Grab your arts supplies kiddos, It’s time for a Coolhorse Coloring Contest!
Each child is allowed to mail in one picture to be entered into the contest according to their age group. The top 3 kiddos of each group will be “crayoned” the champs. Winners will receive their own Classic Ropes Coloring Book, $10 Coolhorse gift card, and Classic Firecracker Kid rope. The winning photos will also be posted on the Coolhorse website and Facebook page. |

Fast Back has enjoyed an overwhelming response to their last rope released in 2010, the Natural. The Natural was built with a slightly deader feel than other Fast Back ropes, and an accented tip feel. All feedback indicates that ropers love the Natural. There are some who crave a lighter, snappier version of this best seller, so master rope-maker, Al Benson, started development on a new rope based on these requests. After months of testing, the Redline was born. The Redline is a nylon-poly blend that is red in color. The Redline is slightly smaller and lighter than the Natural with some of the same desirable characteristics that make the Natural so popular. “We anticipate the Redline will appeal to both headers and heelers,” explains Al Benson. “This rope is made with a unique poly fiber developed specifically for the Redline.” The Redline will be available in stores October 1, 2011. |
