Although they were originally designed for English and Endurance riders, these bell boots are taking over the barrel racing world! They have a side closure vs a front, which gives the front of the bell boot a flat surface. This will protect the hoof from jumps and provides extra protection for any discipline where horses are required to cross their feet in the front. The collared cuff provides more comfort for your horse and with the no-turn knob it helps hold the bell boots in place. The material is water repellent and stain resistant but are easy to clean. The kevlar back gives the boot more protection (these are bulletproof!) and durability. The 3DX Bell Boots are designed to use with polo wraps or splint boots, You do not want to use them with sport boots such as the Legacy's.
They are available in size Small, Medium, Large, and come in Chocolate, White, Black, and Fuchsia.
Cleaning: Like all leather tack items, boots should be cleaned and checked after each use to increase longevity and avoid any accidents caused by natural wear. The leather exterior and inner foam liner should be wiped clean with a cloth to remove all dirt and sweat. A soft brush can also be used to whisk away debris if necessary.
Oiling: Exposure to the elements can cause leather products to break down over time. To increase the durability and the lifespan of the boots, oil at least every 6 months to replace the natural oil that is lost during the tanning process.
Tired of throwing away bell boots because the straps wore out? Never fear, RES boots are here! Brett Mills, inventor and CEO of RES boots, grew up on a cattle ranch which means he has been around horses most of his life. When not creating new "removable Velcro products", Brett competes in team roping and calf roping. This comes in handy because he knows what kind of products and results his customers want.
Horses may be powerful, strong, and fast, but as all horse owners eventually learn, they are also fragile. Legs especially. Soundness problems can rob you of valuable training time. I've long been a proponent for booting your horse, and I am pretty near obsessive about booting my horses to keep them from banging their legs, but Matt just brought home to me a good point. If you think about it, box pads are just like protective leg gear, only you put the padding on the pipe or metal instead of on your horse.
Take a look at our Cactus box pads for a little help keeping those rope horses sound.
