The summer weather is making a sneaky exit. In the Texas Panhandle, it is starting to feel like fall. I've spotted frost on my windshield, and the weanlings have fluffed up already. Guess it's time to get sheets and blankets on those horses that you want to keep slick. Put the fly sheets in storage. And start thinking about that W word. Winter. Looking back over the summer, this was a surprising year. When I checked the top sellers in team ropes, all the usual suspects were all still there. The Mach III, Powerline Lite, Hypnotic, Mach 4, MoneyMaker, and Magnet. But there was a new surprise. The number one head rope at Coolhorse this summer - The Heat! If you haven't tried the Heat yet, give one a swing before ol' man winter makes it impossible.
