Career Highlights• 2009: Tied for first place in Round 5 of the tie-down roping with a time of 7.1 seconds and placed in three other rounds en route to clinching his second world championship in that event in three years and a record-tying seventh all-around gold buckle; placed in one round of the team roping with Patrick Smith. Won the 2002 AQHA Tie-down Roping Horse of the Year honors for his horse (Tinys Clipso) Tweeter, and his horse Real Cool Dual (nickname Texaco) was voted PRCA/AQHA’s second-best tie-down roping Horse of the Year in 2004 and 2006, while his horse Die Hard Romance (nickname Roan Ranger) finished third in the steer roping horse of the year voting in 2006
