Coolhorse was lucky to meet Miss Rodeo Texas Princess 2010, Kennady Johnson, when she stopped by to pick up her new Platinum horse trailer from Coolhorse in Amarillo, Texas.  We had a great time learing about Kennady and her adventure.

Miss Kennady Johnson, 12 years old, of Abernathy, TX, was crowned the 9th Miss Rodeo Texas Princess in San Antonio, TX on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Entering the competition as Miss Rodeo SandHills Princess 2010, Kennady won the categories of Personality, Appearance, Photogenic and Horsemanship.

She is very active in 4-H and has been recognized as "First Year 4-Her" and "Bronze Star Recipient". She is a youth leader in Abernathy Clover Kids (a mentoring program for K-2nd grads) and member of the Abernathy 4-H Clud, Hale County Horse Club, and Hale County Council. Kennady is also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a member of the Harvest Christina Fellowship. In addition, she participates in many horse related activities.

During her reign, Kennady will travel Texas promoting youth rodeos., the western industy, and agriculture. She will also encourage Texas youth to reflect on the impact that our rich western heritage has had on the development of our state and to educate everyone about the contributions of Texas agriculture in our everyday lives.
