Pastor Trey Johnson gives word on the desires, dreams and many other thoughts in life.

The other morning I was out feeding and I had been talking to the Lord about
all the things that He places in our hearts. The desires, the dreams,
etc... I had been in a time of just checking to make sure all the things in
my heart were in line with His heart and on the inside of me, I knew it was
the Lord, I heard Him say "Let the desires in you bring the joy that they
are supposed to bring. Let the desires in you produce the life that they
are supposed to produce".

People ask, how do I know what are my desires and what are God's desires?
I've found out through the years that as I stay in relationship with the
Lord, His desires become my desires. I also have noticed that in time some
desires go away and the ones that are still in my heart after I've spent a
lot of time with the Lord, those are the ones that have been placed in me by
God and God wants us to fulfill what He has placed in our heart.

Remember the desires in your heart from the Lord are designed to produce the
will of God for your life. The are designed to bring joy, peace, provision,
and to get you where you are supposed to go. So as you start this year,
spend some time reading your bible, going to church, having a relationship
with the right people, develop a right relationship with the Lord and locate
those desires that God has placed in you. Then begin to get a plan to bring
those desires to pass.
