Hello, My name is Trey Johnson. Some of you might know who I am and some of you might not. Several years ago Matt and the coolhorse team were such a blessing to me and my family as I was rodeoing . They helped me win the PRCA Rookie of the Year Heeler in 2000 just like they are helping people today. A few months ago I asked them if I could be a part of what they are doing in adding value to peoples lives, and they said yes.
I was out of the rodeo scene for some years and it is exciting for me to be getting involved again. Today I would like to just give you a brief run down of what God has been doing in our life over the past several years. In 2002 my wife Amber and I knew that there was a change coming so we really prayed and felt like it was time to stop rodeoing and having our own ministry and join the team of Believerway Church. I became associate pastor at the church in Amarillo, Tx in January of 2003 and along with our pastor's Scott and Missy Johnson ( not related) in May of 2003 we started another Believersway church in Edwards Colorado. Amber, our little girl Maci and myself moved up there in June 2003 to continue pastoring the people in the valley. For awhile we moved in and out of a temporary facility until the Lord opened a great place for the church there. Some time during 2004 I felt released to start roping some and through that a lot of ropers in the valley gave their life to the Lord. In April of 2005 I was down in Midland Tx. ministering and the Lord started talking to us about having a church in Midland. So through a process of seeking the Lord and counsel we moved pastors Joe and Elizabeth Prestwood from our church in Amarillo to pastor the great group of people at the church in Edwards Co. and we moved to Midland to start a church there. On September 11th 2005 we had our first service for Believersway Permain Basin. We now have a thriving church full of great people who love the Lord. We also now are a part of a television show called "Believersway" which is on DISH network channel 267 and Direct TV channel 376 Monday through Friday with the pastors from the other Believerway churches. We also have a son now who is three years old and his name is Hayes. I have been roping more the past couple of years and plan on going to the big roping's and as much as my schedule allows. I am starting to blog on this website with the desire to help you accomplish what God has created you to do. Our desire is to add value to your life anyway we can. You can also reach me at believersway.com and go to the Midland church. God Bless you and keep becoming who God has created you to become.
