Trailers

I typically see anywhere from 10-15 trailer interiors a week by taking the trailer pics for the website but this one is my top choice that caught my eye!

http://www.coolhorse.com/CT1453U.html

It's not the most extravagant horse trailer on the lot but it's one that I could see a lot of people wanting this one. This used Platinum Coach horse trailer has a 10' ft Outlaw living quarter and VERY VERY CLEAN.

What stood out to me:

  • I like the neutral colors that were chosen and I could see any style going with it.
  • Upgrades like mirrors, lights, and knobs
  • The big shower
  • Everything very well taken care of and well kept!
  • No sink in the bathroom BUT...the counter space is huge and all the essentials that us girls travel would fit in this trailer!

I'm sure it won't be on the long for very long!

We have 51 pictures live on our site to take a tour of the outside and inside.

Amigo 4-Strand Cactus Team Rope PDF Print
Ropes, Roping, Ropers
Written by Abby
Friday, 03 February 2012

Cactus' heaviest rope (& one of their toughest), the Amigo, features tall crows for a four-strand. This produces open loops and a very obvious tip feel. The vivid orange color provides high visibility in a variety of roping conditions. The Amigo is their biggest diameter heel rope and is unsurpassed in durability. This full bodied rope is a perfect choice when you're roping big, strong cattle.

"I have tons of confidence when the Amigo is in my hand. It has a little more weight, I can feel my tip a lot more and it stays open, even when I have to force it."- Jake Long, WNFR Qualifier

Indian National Finals Rodeo PDF Print
Cool Guest Blogs

Thirty-four years ago, five people gathered to put a concept to reality. They united several regional Indian Rodeo Associations from the U.S. and Canada to form the Indian National Finals Rodeo Inc. (INFR) at the arena in which Champion Indian cowboys and cowgirls compete against each other in the sport of professional rodeo.

Almost every child dreams of being a cowboy or cowgirl, for most, the romantic notion remains a fantasy. But for a lucky few, the dream turns to reality when those kids grow up to be members of the Indian National Finals Rodeo. Sanctioning nearly 700 rodeos nationwide and offering annual prize money exceeding over million dollars the INFR is, by far, the largest and the oldest Indian Rodeo Organization in the world. The INFR also works with a variety of youth rodeo associations as well the National High School Rodeo Association and the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, creating a natural progression for the athletes climbing from the ranks of youth and college rodeo to professional rodeo.

The Classic Real Deal is a proud sponsor of the Indian National Finals Rodeo and Championship Dummy Roping.

Polygrass rope size equivalents PDF Print
Ropes, Roping, Ropers
Written by Stacey Hubbard
Friday, 20 January 2012

Coolhorse was lucky enough to get in a limited supply of BadA$$ Polygrass calf ropes.  This sparked a discussion about measuring sizes on ropes.  Grass and Polygrass ropes are traditionally labeled by size according to the number of strings used to make them.  These particular ropes are 57's, meaning there are 57 strings, or three strands each composed of 19 strings, spun together to make the rope.  Poly calf ropes are traditionally measured by diameter in millimeters and team ropes in fractions of an inch.

With all these different systems, how do you know what size a 57 Polygrass rope will feel like?  We asked local calf ropers and consensus is that this batch of BadAss 57 Polygrass ropes have a diameter similar to a 10.25 poly calf rope, but they are a little denser so the weight is closer than that of a 10.5.

Favorite Makers - Calf Roping PDF Print
Saddles
Written by Stacey Hubbard
Friday, 13 January 2012

Coolhorse loves a good handmade calf roping saddle, and here are a few reasons why.

Howard Council is the true legend of calf roping saddle makers.  Billy Hogg has set the Gold Standard of calf roping saddles, they have been ridden by many world champions for many years.  Faith saddles are made locally (well, in the Panhandle at least) and are used nationally by NFR calf roping contestants.  Tod Slone and his family rope calves, and know how a calf saddle should sit and how it should fit a horse.  Martin was know as the first affordable "good" calf roping saddle, and Joe Beaver lent his expertise to improve the line even more.  Similarly, Stran Smith and Trevor Brazile have brought Cactus calf roping saddles to a new level.
