A vet once told me that a horse's ideal outside temperature would be around 50 degrees, so I try to remember that the horses want to be a little colder than I do. The temperatures it is suited for depends on a few factors. Are your horses stalled or turned out? And are they kept clipped or show slick, or do you allow them to grow a little extra hair?
