New! Freedom 3-Strand Relentless Team Rope by Cactus Ropes
Cactus Ropes has done it again and Coolhorse has the inside scoop! Cactus has teamed up with 14-time world champion and $4 million dollar cowboy Trevor Brazile and created the newest 3-strand team rope that will be hitting shelves on July 4th, 2011. The Freedom is the first three-strand Relentless rope and the fifth rope to join the line following the Xplosion, C4, Weapon, and Lil' Pistol.
Abby with Coolhorse traveled down to Pleasanton, Texas to find out the dirt on this new three-strand rope from the world's greatest rope maker, Barry Berg. Barry said they wanted to bring in a rope that worked well with the Relentless line yet added diversity to the Cactus Ropes. Therefore they introducted a new special nylon and had several professional's come in to test it out. Trevor had a big hand in the production but they also enlisted Jake Cooper, Matt Sherwood, and Charly Crawford for some imput. Barry explains to friends of Coolhorse that it was important to have three-strand team ropers give their opinion to make sure the Freedom was distinct from the other Cactus three-strand team ropes. This rope fits in right between the Mini-Mag & Magnet to help maximize every roper's potential. Freedom has less poly and more of a diameter to help give it the unique feel Cactus was shooting towards. Trevor was overheard saying that "Wow, this three-strand feels like a four-strand!". This means that the rope has good balance, is quick, snappy, and crisp but still has the larger crowns found on a three strand. Be sure to preorder yours at Coolhorse!
